Magrino agency is proud to announce its representation of Château d’Esclans, a prestigious estate and winery from Provence, France producing some of the world’s leading rosé wines.
Château d’Esclans, which was recently awarded Wine Enthusiast’s European Winery of The Year Award for 2014, has a portfolio which includes four highly regarded premium rosé wines: Whispering Angel, Château d’Esclans, Les Clans and Garrus. The brand will join Magrino’s esteemed wine and spirits division which includes the luxury wine brand Marchesi Antinori, Moet Hennessy Estates & Wines, Nicolas Feuillatte, Bedell Cellars and several William Grant & Sons’ brands.
Built during the mid-19th century, Château d’Esclans is located in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation, just north of St.-Tropez. Acquired in 2006 by wine veteran Sacha Lichine, Château d’Esclans has quickly become a world class brand providing a strong contribution to the unprecedented growth within the rosé category. The Château is acclaimed for its old Grenache vines, which produce grapes that offer a greater concentration of flavor and complexity (some vines being up to 90 years old which are located in the higher elevated plots of the estate).
