It’s finally here. Warm weather, patio drinking, and time to pop open some of my favorite bottles of whites and rosés. I always look forward to this time of year, and I am happy to share a few of my “go-to” bottles for the warmer weather.
Chateau D’Esclans, Cotes de Provence Rose ”Whispering Angel”?:
When it comes to rosé, I am a very picky drinker. The first question I ask at any restaurant is about the shade or color of the wine, as I am partial to very pale and blush colored rosés. These shades typically indicate that the wine will be very dry, not sweet (no sugar), which is definitely my preference with rosé. The Whispering Angel is a perfectly pale and dry wine, which has a clean and smooth flavor. A bottle of Whispering Angel retails for about $20.00 and can be found at local wine shops including Calvert Woodley, MacArthur Beverages, and at Whole Foods Market.
