THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC- Sparkling and rosé wines for spring

by Mark Tarbell

2008 Chateau d’Esclans “Whispering Angel” Rosé, Cotes de Provence, France ($16-$22) –
The color is very classic “onionskin” (light tan with a touch of yellow/rose.) The aroma has some mineral and earth with fruit in the background.
The taste is full, expressive, balanced and dry. This is a wonderful dry French rosé. 89 points
